Of all the things my father taught me, none apply more than the following statement with regards to the weather.    Believe none of what you hear, and half of what you see.

Predicting weather along a body of water such as Lake Michigan is about as close to throwing darts at a board as you can get.   If we booked/cancelled trips based upon what the weatherman says, we would have been out of business years ago.

Call the Captain at 616-836-5736 for his up to the minute observations of what is really happening or what might happen.  

We DO fish in the rain.   The fish do not care, they are already wet.   We DO fish regardless if the air temperature is 30 degrees or 130 degrees.   The only time we might cancel a trip due to weather is if we SEE that the weather is currently or without a doubt imminently going to present danger to the safety of the vessel and its crew.

We understand you may travel from a distance and we will take that into great consideration with regards to potentially cancelling a trip.
